We're Now a CSA Farm!

Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is a way that farmers and their community can come together and share in the highs and lows of farming. Instead of food boxes, the CSA way of thinking about food provision is in 'shares' - the farm does well, you receive a bumper crop, farm struggles, then there may not be quite as much food in your box one week. That being said, CSA farmers are friendly folk and don't want to see you short changed. So, joining the CSA also connects us with a network of other farmers and allows us to trade produce amongst each other when and if we need too.

It is thanks to the CSA that we were introduced to the solidarity payment scale that we have adopted. As a result of adopting this system we have been invited to write a monthly blog for their newsletter, so watch this space as I will share it here too.

To find out more about the CSA (and I really encourage you to take a look) visit their website on www.communitysupportedagriculture.org.uk
